Our Commitment

VINdow Sticker is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. We believe the same transparency we bring to car pricing should apply to how people can access and use our site — regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

VINdow Sticker is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We describe the known gaps below and are actively working to close them.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features across the site:

• Semantic HTML throughout — proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and list structures
• Keyboard navigation supported on all interactive elements
• Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form controls
• Sufficient color contrast in both light and dark themes (tested against WCAG AA)
• Responsive design that works at 200% browser zoom and on mobile screens
• Alt text on meaningful images, including vehicle photos and logos
• Form labels properly associated with their inputs
• ARIA labels on icon-only buttons so screen readers can announce them
• Skip-to-content patterns for screen reader users
• Reduced motion support that respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting
• Descriptive link text — we avoid "click here" and similar non-descriptive phrases

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some parts of the site are not yet fully accessible. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

• Some data tables (vehicle inventory comparisons, dealer rankings) are wide and may be difficult to navigate with screen readers. We are exploring linearized view options and improved table semantics.
• Some third-party content — specifically advertising served via Google AdSense — is outside our direct control and may not meet WCAG AA standards. We rely on Google's own accessibility practices for ad content.
• PDF window stickers from manufacturers are not all tagged for accessibility. We display them as supplementary information and always provide the same underlying data in accessible HTML on the vehicle page.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

VINdow Sticker is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

• VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
• NVDA on Windows
• Modern keyboard navigation (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Arrow keys)
• Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality

Browsers

We test the site on the latest two versions of the following browsers:

• Chrome (desktop and mobile)
• Edge (desktop and mobile)
• Firefox (desktop and mobile)
• Safari (macOS and iOS)

Reporting Accessibility Issues

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on VINdow Sticker, we want to hear about it. Your feedback helps us identify problems and prioritize fixes. Please email accessibility@vindowsticker.com and include as much of the following as you can:

• The page URL where you encountered the problem
• A description of the problem you experienced
• The assistive technology and browser you were using
• Any steps we can take to reproduce the issue

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.
